Discover Digital Inclusion – Your Opportunity

The Discover Digital Inclusion – Your Opportunity initiative is a short, government-backed digital skills programme designed to support young people aged 18–24 with additional needs who have previously received a Your Opportunity grant. It helps participants develop new digital skills that could support education and employment prospects.

The course covers four creative and technical areas — coding, design, video and music — with each area split into three separate units. Learners can complete any number of these units, earning accredited certificates for each one they finish.

Workshops are held online, typically on Saturdays from late January through early March, and there are both live and pre-recorded versions so learners can join at a pace that suits them. No prior digital experience is needed, and the programme is fully funded by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT).

The emphasis is on inclusive learning, building confidence, and creating a personal digital portfolio through real creative projects. Support is provided throughout, and places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
